I have Section 8 next to me living in a $125K house and they get $2k a month for free (rent is $1200 and food stamps $650) and HEAP for free. Was one mother and 2 kids. After 1 month, there are 6-7 people living there and have been for the past 20 months. I have called and complained, but they do jack shit
Well....it is dumb the I think it is about having a sense of control. As dumb as it sounds while tp is nowhere near as important as food it would be better than having none. Using the extra 100 or whatevr should be spent on food .People are scared and feel this is them having some sort of control over it
I don't need the check but I don't have a problem with this. It would be nice for older people to maybe srock up a week extra groceries so they won't have to go out as much. And you can't really compare this to socialism. It is a bit different. If they want to shut down for a short term that affects people. This just isn't government control and hand outs. But if someone feels that we should continue as normal with some caution and then these checks wouldnt be needed. I am fine with that too. None of these situation are good
